CBD FAQ
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is one of the most well-known of 100+ different phytochemicals found in the cannabis plant, known as phytocannabinoids. CBD is a sticky resin concentrated in the hemp plant’s trichomes. Trichomes are glandular structures that protect the plant from heat and ultraviolet radiation. Both marijuana and hemp can contain CBD. Mowellens products are derived from hemp and are non-psychoactive, meaning they will not get you high. While both marijuana and hemp contain CBD, marijuana has over 0.3% THC, which is the compound that causes the psychoactive effects. In contrast, hemp contains less than 0.3% THC.
